Depending on the lighting for the Bronco your brake light relay wire might not be useable. Models without the signature LED lighting will have a purple wire for the brake light, while models with the signature LED lighting will not have an accessible wire and instead would need a stop light switch kit in order to get the signal.

If you have an automatic transmission then you'll need the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM68MR. If you have a manual transmission then you'll need the Roadmaster Universal Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751000 instead. These stop light switch kits will sense when the brake pedal is depressed and send out the signal, which I'm assuming you need to connect to the indicator light on a supplemental braking system.

@AndyC The purple wire would be coming off of the top of the brake pedal. You'll have to squeeze under the dash and look up at the wiring that connects to the brake pedal to see if you have it. If you do you can test to make sure it's the correct wire with a hook & probe tester # PTW2993 see if it only has power when the brake pedal is being depressed.

Kevin, I have a 2024 bronco with the 2.3 L. When I ordered all of my set up, I was told to get the RM68mr. However, when I went to install it, I noticed mine has an OEM switch in the exact location where the bracket would put the road master switch. Your customer service is great and is sending me a return label, but I’m not necessarily sure that I will be able to Provide a brake signal to the wireless transmitter in my stay and play duo kit. Before I return the switch, any suggestions? Customer support told me they checked and that it was not needed for my model, but I don’t see how the braking system is going to get a brake signal from the bronco itself.

@BrianM Hello Brian. All of the info and records we have for the 2024 Bronco indicate the stop light switch would not be needed when using the Demco brake system. However if you are needing to provide a signal for the wireless transmitter, that is what the stop light switch is for. see with the key on tow mode if the brakes lights come on. If they do, you don't need the sensor. If they don't come on, you will need to install the sensor.

@JesseM Thank you for the response. Yes, i tested it yesterday and it appears that it is working in neutral tow mode without the switch. I'm going to return the kit then. If it helps, mines a 2024 Outer Banks with the 2.3l and it has a oem switch that VERY much looks like a stop light switch, right where the bracket on this kit would put the roadmaster switch. It has a wiring harness on it that looks tough to get into. Either way, i'm glad I don't need it! Thanks for your help!

@BrianM Happy to help! And glad to hear you got the lights working. Thanks for sharing. This is definitely good info to have on here because we deal with a LOT of other Jeeps and I recommend that Demco brake system almost every time so I am sure this will come up again. Feel free to come back anytime you need anything!
