Replacement Safety Chain Options for an Aluma Tilt Trailer

Question:
I have a 8218 18 Aluma tilt trailer. the safety chains have rusted to the point the springs on the hook end no longer close. What product is best suited to replace them? Thank you..

In order to choose the correct safety chains for your trailer, you'll first and foremost need to know the weight of the trailer which I found online to be 7,000 lbs fully loaded. Then, you'll need to determine a suitable length. I recommend simply replacing with the same length that came on the trailer currently. The Buyers Products 3/8" x 35" Class 4 Trailer Safety Chain part # 337B03835SC for example is a good option which measures 35" long and has a capacity of 10,000 lbs.
