I took a look at both your Aventon step-thru e-bikes and the RockyMounts MonoRail Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches # RKY10004 appears like it'll work just fine for you.

This bike rack can accommodate two 60-lbs fat tire (5" wide) e-bikes, so there's more than enough capacity to handle your 52-lbs and 54-lbs e-bikes with 2" wide tires.

Also with this rack being a wheel mounted rack, it'll also be compatible with step-thru bikes so there'll be no need for an adapter.
