I followed the instructions as posted however I only found the blue wire separate from the factory harness. Where would I find the 12 volt hot wire ?

To finish the conversion of your 4-Way to 7-Way # C57674 on your 2016 Ford Expedition you will need a Charge Line Kit # RM-156-75. This is needed as Ford did not run the additional wire for the 7-way. You will need to run this directly to your vehicle battery with the included circuit breaker. As this will always provide power to the charge line you may want to add a Relay # BL63VR so it only provides power when the ignition is switched on. This will prevent draining your battery when the truck is switched off.
If you are needing to add a brake controller the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller # RED44FR is great as it only has a small dash mounted control knob which is visible after installation. It is a plug and play installation using the Harness # 331-TPH-007
