Question:

I bought the yakima buttondown 4 and am having problems fitting the snaparound mounts to my roof rack. The bars i have are rectangular and the mounts are circle, and they are too small. Are there mounts that are just a bit larger? The mounts are roughly one and one eighth inches in diameter and i need at least one and a half inches. I saw the power hound mounts but i am not sure if they are big enough to fit the rack, there are no dimensions listed for any of these things.

For the regular Yakima ButtonDown or Factory BD6 you would need to use MightyMounts, # Y03590, to attach the carrier to the rectangular bars.

If you have the ButtonDown Aero then you can use # Y8860040. This item is a single unit so you would need 4 of them total. The top square part of this foot is 1-3/8 inches by 1-1/4 inches. Dimensions normally are not listed for parts like this because they fit specific racks.
