Question:

5th wheel landing gear issues on a Lippert 71119 model. Single motor unit, Atwood Mobile model 71119 and new batteries in trailer. Lowering the front of the trailer is smooth. Trying to raise the front end up though is a problem. The motor seems strong, but I hear a clacking and jumping where the horizontal bar to the opposite side enters the ?gear housing. I know Atwood is out of business, but wondering if it is possible to replace the gearbox and solve the issue, or if there is an alternative idea?

We do have an aluminum gear box replacement that is confirmed to fit Atwood landing gear setups with the part # LC276602 which would fix the problem you are having.
