Cost-Effective Bike Rack Recommendation for Trek Verve Step-Thru Bike

Question:
I have 2 regular Trek Verve 2 bikes, one is a step thru. I am looking for a bike rack for these bikes but do not want to spend a lot of money. Can you suggest a carrier. I know the one Verve has no cross bar so has to sit in tire cradles.
