Question:
Hello I’m looking to put a 4 bike carrier on back of travel trailer. They will be e-bikes total weight of bikes and carrier would be right around 375lbs. Question is for the tongue weight max would that be the weight I’m looking for in a hitch? For what I’m doing? I’m assuming the bike carrier and weight of bikes is the same as a tongue load weight of a trailer am I correct ? Please inform me I do t want to have sag in middle of hitch and or excessive bouncing of it.

I do have an option for you but you won't be able to carry that many e-bikes on the back of your trailer, the max amount would be two or four standard bikes. The issue is not so much weight as it's distance from the rear axle which makes the ride incredibly rough. Furthermore, you won't even find a carrier rated for four e-bikes that can be used on a trailer, it's simply not feasible. That said, no matter what type of bikes you have if you want to be able to carry more then two you really need to use a frame mounted hitch, the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs part # 13703. This can then be used with the Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes part # S94FR which can carry two electric bikes or the Thule Range RV Bike Rack part # TH9057 for four standard bikes.
