Hello, will this work on a fifth wheel where the plug is on the inside of the truck bed. thus being left and right as compared to bumper pull front rear hook up. Thanks.

Yes, it will. The Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller item # C51180 just needs to be plugged in-line with your trailer's 7-way connector. It will work on both the bumper and in bed vehicle connectors.

I have a better solution for you though that still uses the same wireless system controlled by your phone. It is the Curt Echo In-Line Wireless Brake Controller item # C79DR. This Curt Echo plugs in to your Ram's factory harness and provides a brake controller for both your bumper and in bed 7-way.

I have linked an installation video below. You will want to install this forward of the T-connector that goes to your in bed 7-way so the controller works for both connectors.
