The extra connector between the tail light connectors must be to add a trailerhitch connector for the jeep. Where do i get this adapter to connect to the harness and a 4 pin flat connector for a towed trailer by the jeep?

The Curt Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # C96JR is designed to plug into select Jeep Wrangler's and Gladiators in order to display a motorhome's traffic signals through the taillights on the Jeep to remain street legal.
What you're needing is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118786, which will plug into your tail light connectors and run down to your trailer hitch in order to connect to a trailer and properly display your traffic signals through the trailer tail lights.
If the trailer you're towing has brakes then you'll also need to install the # ETBC7 to get a 7-way connector on your Jeep and then a brake controller. For the brake controller I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR along with the wiring harness # RED69FR. I have this brake controller in my truck and love how small the controller knob is and the factory look it provides over the standard under the dash style brake controllers.
