Recommended Hitch for a 2004 Safari Trek Motorhome on a Chevy P32 Workhorse Chassis

Question:
I have a 2004 Safari Trek Motorhome that is on the Chevrolet P32 Workhorse Chassis. The current hitch is a 64-6230 Hidden Hitch rated for 3000 lbs. I need a replacement hitch rated for at least 5000lbs. Towing capacity is 4500lbs and I will be towing a 2014 Honda CRV which is around 3600lbs. Any help would be appreciated.

To add a hitch to your 2004 Safari Trek Motorhome you'll want to use the Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch item # C13701. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver that has the requested 5,000 lbs towing capacity. This is a universal hitch that can be bolted or welded onto your Workhorse's frame. There are no custom fit options for your motorhome.
Just a heads up. We have a had a similar question related to your 64-6230 Hidden Hitch that we have reached out to Draw-Tite on. According to our information it has a 5,000 lbs towing capacity. I have attached a picture of the sticker that goes on the hitch below. You may want to confirm your capacity before swapping out hitches.

I have the Hidden Hitch 64-6230 receiver on my Trek. The label does indeed show the Maximum Gross Trailer Weight = 5000 lbs. Maximum Gross Tongue Weight = 500 lbs.
