The easiest and most cost effective way to provide security with the Buyers Products Coupler part # 3370091545 is a pin lock like the etrailer Coupler Lock part # e98887 which will replace the lynch pin that comes with the coupler. The pin once inserted will stop the coupler from opening or closing depending on which position the handle is in. It can also be used during transit for additional security.
