Question:

I have the demco recon for recess gooseball to fifth wheel hitch. There is 1” fro the top of ball to level greater than the 13/16 guideline. Could I install a longer bolt into ball receiver to gain the length needed? Same bolt type obviously

In order for the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter for Recessed Ball part # DM8550046 to work there must be no more than 13/16" from the top of the hitch ball to the bed floor. There isn't a way to adjust the hitch for a deeper recess but in most cases, you can use a taller hitch ball. If you can let me know what gooseneck hitch you have, I'd be glad to see if one is available for this. The 1" High-Rise Ball for B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Trailer Hitch part # BWGNXA2050 for example is designed for B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Trailer Hitches.
