Can Bikes and Bike Rack Be Installed on Curt Wall Mount for 2" Hitch Accessories

Can you store bikes on the bike rack when its mounted to the wall with this?

While the Curt Wall Mount for 2" Hitch Accessories # C97DR is rated for 350 lbs, I don't see loading bikes on the bike rack for storage as a great idea since the bikes will be sitting further out and placing more stress on the wall mount - my contact at Curt agreed with me on this when I reached out to him.

For your application I recommend using the Curt Wall Mount # C97DR for your bike rack and then the Feedback Sports Velo Hinge Bike Storage Rack # 301-16724 for any bikes. The Velo Hinge Rack can hold up to 50 lb bikes and can swing to the side so your bikes don't take up as much space.

I personally use the Velo Hinge Bike Storage Rack and the only complaint I really have about it is that the bikes can't get to a full 90 degree angle as their pedals hit the wall. I have heard though that if you use a 2x4 as a spacer you'll be able to swing the bike out at a further angle for more clearance.
