Trailer Brake Controller For a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 With Trailering Package

Question:

On a 2022 Silverado 1500, is there a difference between the tow package and the trailering package? I am looking to get a brake controller and they all reference a tow package. thank you.

For your 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 we list it as a towing package while Chevrolet lists it as a trailering package. Since different manufacturers use different terms we selected to term towing package for all of our different vehicles.

I recommend using the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 if you are looking for an easy to use controller with clear easy to read screen. If you prefer a less obtrusive controller the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite # RED63RR only mounts a small knob on dash to control the trailer brakes. Both these controllers will connect using the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3064-P to connect under the dash of your Silverado.
