Hello Rick.

In order to use a cargo carrier you need to make sure you have a hitch on the back of the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander. If you do not have one already then you need the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C87WR. This hitch has a 2" receiver, can handle a tongue weight of 525 pounds, and a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds.

Now that we have you set up with a hitch you can add the 24x60 Reese Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs # 63153.
