Question:
Can you add a lock to the door?

Expert Reply:
The Multi-Purpose Access Door # SE68VR is designed without a lock so you have easy access to whatever is stored behind the door. There isn't a way to add a lock unless you want to try modifying the door (which you would have to figure out on your end).
As an alternative we have the Valterra Locking Electrical Cable Hatch for RVs # A10-2151BKVP instead. This is about 6" smaller (14" vs 8") but it does come with a lock, as well as a small port you can open from the inner part of the door in case you need to route any cables or anything like that through the door but you want it to remain locked.
Attached are review videos of each door for you to check out.
