Question:

I have a 2000 VW Eurovan and want tow it behind my RV NEXUS Ghost with a tow dolly. The GVWR is 5886, Front 3263 and Rear 2712. What size of tow dolly would I need. The VW can only be towed on a tow dolly with front wheels on the dolly. Thank you

Based on my research your 200 VW EuroVan has a curb weight of 4,220 to 4,348 lbs. The GVWR is the maximum loaded weight, curb weight (weight without passengers or cargo) is what we use to determine the correct tow dolly. Since you're either at or over the maximum vehicle weight for the # RM-2050-1, I recommend the Demco Kar Kaddy X Tow Dolly # DM9713093.

The Kar Kaddy X has a maximum vehicle weight of 4,800 lbs so that easily covers your van. It also has surge brakes instead of electric brakes which will be more reliable and won't require a brake controller. A license plate bracket and light # DM39VR are available separately.
