If you do not have the gooseneck installed yet the most recommended setup you can use is to have a 5th-wheel system installed first and then when you wish to tow a gooseneck trailer, you would remove the 5th-wheel hitch and use an adapter plate, like the Curt 25K Gooseneck Plate for Fifth Wheel Rails, part # 16055, with a gooseneck ball attached for towing.

If you already have a gooseneck or wish to have a gooseneck hitch installed and use an adapter to convert it to a fifth wheel hitch there are a few options you can consider. The safest and most secure way to do this is with a 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter like part # RP85FR. This is a pin box replacement on your 5th wheel trailer, and replaces the following pin boxes (Lippert 0719, 1621 and 1621HD and Fabex PB-600 Series).

If your pin box is one of the following (Lippert 0115, 1116 and 1716), then I recommend part # RP94716-61301.

If you wish to reply with the year make and model of your truck, I can provide more specifics for your vehicle when selecting a hitch.
