Question:

I am looking for a front bumper for my 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I have a Curt towbar and want to tow the Jeep via the shackle attachment points. Trying to avoid adding base plates. I would like one that I can add a winch to at a later date. I purchased the towbar from etrailer about a year ago, maybe a bit more.

The Curt Rambler Steel Tow Bar for Curt and Blue Ox Base Plates # C26FR that you purchased is only going to work with a Curt or Blue Ox baseplate. While we don't currently sell an aftermarket bumper that's rated to tow from for your 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, there are options out there. You'll just want to confirm with the manufacturer ahead of purchase that it is rated for flat towing. Smittybilt is a commonly used company for these types of bumpers.

One you have a new bumper that's rated for towing you'll need to measure the thickness of the D-Rings to find the correct adapter. We have the following sizes based by brand:

Roadmaster:
3/4" Thick # RM-035
1" Thick # RM-035-1

Blue Ox:
7/8" Thick # BX88357
1" Thick # BX88358

Once you choose an adapter we can then find a compatible tow bar to attach it to. These adapters are brand specific so you would need to use the same brand tow bar in order for them to be compatible.
