Question:

I have a 2001 GMC Savanna 3500 Box Truck. I have heard that these 2003 and up manual mirrors can fit older trucks because it is only the cable routing with the electric mirrors that has changed. Do you know if this is true? They dont make these long extended tow mirrors for 2002 and earlier and Im in a bit of a predicament.

I spoke to K-Source in regards to if the K-Source Custom Towing Mirror # KS62170G will fit your 2001 GMC Savana Van, and they explained to me that the swap that you are wanting to do with your van is not going to work.

They went on to say that you could use the electric mirrors on your van with manual mirrors and exclude the wiring harness if it were within the model years, however they are not going to work with your application.

Additionally, they went on to note that there is not only differences in fit, but there is also differences in finish that would also be a problem.

Instead, for replacement manual mirrors for your vehicle, you're going to need to use the:

-K-Source Replacement Side Mirror # KS62051G for the passenger side, and # KS62052G for the driver side.
