Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. And today we're going to be taking a look at the KSource Replacement Side Mirror. This is a custom fit for the 1996 through 2000 GMC Savana van or the Chevrolet Express van. GMC and Chevy pretty much have twins of each other, so it's going to fit those two vehicles. I have this in the breakaway position, so it does have that function to keep it nice and tucked in against our van.
This is for the passenger side. So if I flip this out, get a better idea of what this will look like when it's actually installed. I just wanted to show it to you like that so you can see that it does flip away. And now this is much easier to do whenever you have this on a vehicle, but you flip that flat and that's how it would be normally.So again, once it's installed on your van, it's a lot easier to do than when I'm trying to do it on a tabletop here. But basically this is just going match directly up to where your old mirror came from.
Has the same studs to go in place there so we just have to remove the old hardware. Take the old mirror off, pop the new one on and we're good to go. Has a little kind of rubber pad here, helps to keep it sealed up nice and tight and also keeps out the road noise as well. Has a black plastic housing, the black finish.So, no-drill install, really easy to put in place. It is a manually adjusting mirror so, you will have to adjust that just by hand and it has a convex lens so it provides a wide angle view of what's behind you.
So you get that little warning at the bottom that says objects might be closer than they appear since it does distort it a little bit to give you that more wide field of view. But that helps to eliminate any blind spots that you might have going down the road.Now this is again going to be for the passenger side for your GMC or your Chevy van. This replacement mirror fit like a glove. It looks just like the original mirror that came with my 2500. Etrailer always have good quality items and I always go to them first before I buy anything to see if they carry it.
Really sturdy and heavy duty, had to move my tire for install but not relocate it on my 96 f250. Took me a little over an hour, had pre existing holes so I only had to drill two of them out.
I have previously bought these mirrors to replace my stock mirrors, only thing I noticed was only one hole lined up and the other had to be drilled out. And the hardware to bolt on I believe should be more chrome and a different style but otherwise that the mirrors are perfect and look amazing on the truck.

The mirror is not an exact replacement. The mirror support is made of thinner aluminum, overall quality not ad good as the original. The overall size is smaller, so the mirror sits lower and closer than the original on my 1993 F150. However, the mounting bracket spacing is correct, so I didn’t have to drill holes in the truck door.

Excellent Packaging, Great fit on to a 2003 Toyota Tacoma extended cab. The OEM mirrors had no ability to collapse for fitting into narrow spaces or while parked, these bring that necessity to the truck along with almost 1/3 larger height (more mirror!). Total width seems to be the same from the OEM. One BIG note, these mirrors do not offer use of the interior manual adjustment arm as the OEMs do; so you'll have to adjust the mirror by physically manipulating the mirror surface. Still these are a good deal and function well once installed and adjusted. GOod luck finding a better option for a Gen 1 Tacoma!

It was a perfect fit for the discontinued Toyota part 87940-89147 for my 1994 Toyota pickup. It was very easy to install, maybe taking 30 minutes to take the old one off and install the new one. Thanks!
