Can A High-Low Adapter Be Used With A Warn Winch?

hi i have a not very high chevy 4x4 1500 silverado, would this work to raise my removable warn winch for some occaisonal recovery efforts?

Using a high-low adapter like the Roadmaster High-Low Adapter for Tow Bars - 2" Hitches # RM-048-8 you're interested in is not recommended to be used in that capacity.

The reason being is that yes you may retain the full line capacity of your winch if the winch cable remained absolutely level while being used.

The reality is that your line is likely not going to stay level while being used and would result in a substantial drop in capacity. Since there is not any real way to determine what capacity the cable would have when it is deviated off of level, from a safety standpoint we can't recommend using these adapters.
