Question:

My wife has an Aventon Level 2 e-bike and I have a carbon frame bike. Will only be transporting two bikes at a time. She needs a ramp to load her e-bike which is a step through bike and has fenders. Using on a 2022 Hyundai Palisade. Recommendations?

The best bike rack for your Aventon Level 2 E-Bike is going to be the Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack item # Y36FR. This bike rack will also work with your carbon frame bike. This 2-bike carrier comes with a ramp for easy loading. The Aventon's fat tires will work with the ramp but you will need a set of the Fat Tire Straps for Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack item # Y23FR to accommodate your 4" tires.

The Yakima OnRamp has a 66 lbs per bike capacity. You can secure your Aventon bike in place by the seat post since you do not have a traditional frame. The padded clamps with ratcheting straps will also work with your carbon frame but you will want to add the Thule Carbon Bike Frame Protector item # TH984101. This protector pad adds some extra protection and helps to keep the frame safe from any scratches or bumps from road shock.. The rack itself weighs 60 lbs. The included locks will secure your bikes and the rack itself from theft.

I have linked a picture and attached a video as well. The picture will show the functions of the ramp and I was able to find a video of this bike rack mounted on a 2020 Palisade.
