Helpful Expert Reply:
The snow tire chains that I really like for 245/55-18 tires are from Titan, at the following part number:
- Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains # TC2829
The # TC2829 really gives you the best of everything as they offer excellent grip even in deep snow as well as on ice. The reason why is they have twisted links in a ladder pattern, which is what will give you the best traction in snow. They also have V-bar studs on them, which helps in deeper snow, but also gives you excellent grip on ice.
The only other thing you will need with these are tensioners to ensure you have a consistently tight fit, the Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjusters # TCMA2.
