I have a 2023 Ram 2500 with the tow package and 7-way connector on the bumper. I need a brake controller and I was looking at the Curt Echo but I do not like how it connects to my trailer's 7-way. I would be worried about someone walking away with it. Is there another option that uses an app instead of a traditional controller?

Yes, there is another option to add a brake controller to your 2023 Ram 2500 and still use an app to control your settings. Since you have the factory tow package, I recommend the Curt Echo In-Line Wireless Brake Controller item # C79DR. The controller plugs in beneath your truck behind your 7-way with included connectors. This will completely eliminate any need to hardwire a controller.

The Echo In-Line is a proportional brake controller that slows or stops your trailer when your Ram decelerates. It uses Bluetooth to communicate with your phone so you will never have to worry about losing signal. If your phone dies it automatically uses the default settings you program in.
