Can I Use a 30 Leaf Spring to Replace a 29-1/2 Leaf Spring?

Question:
Would a 30 inch double eyelet leaf spring work in place of 29.5 inch spring? I cannot find the size anywhere. Does 1/2 inch difference make it incompatable?

You can use the 30" Long 6-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 5,000-lb Trailer Axles item # UG34FR in place of a 29-1/2" leaf spring but you may need to modify your suspension or get a shorter equalizer.
If you have a tandem axle trailer you should be ok but you may run into the spring hanger mount in the center. You can fix this buy getting a shorter equalizer or shackle straps.
If you have a single axle trailer you will need to move your spring mounts.
