Can a Goose Box Replace a Reese Revolution Pinbox?

Is it possible to remove the Reece Revolution VHD-10k 22SW with the Reece Goosebox 20k?

Yes, you can replace a Reese Revolution with a Reese Goose Box like the 20,000 lbs item # RP85FR. The Reese Revolution pin box is the same pin box as the Reese Sidewinder. It is called a Revolution when it comes as OEM equipment on a trailer. The Sidewinder/Revolution pin box has multiple mounting holes to fit many different brands of pin boxes.

You will need to confirm your pin box before you purchase your Reese Goose Box. The one you were looking at item # RP85FR fits a Lippert 1621, 1621HD, and the 0719 pin box.

If you would like to email me a picture of the sticker on your Pin Box I will be happy to verify which one you have so you purchase the correct goosebox.

You will also need the Tow Ready Safety Chain Kit with Clevis Hooks item # 49150 because the gooseboxes do not include safety chains and they are required by law.

@Ken Thanks for the information. I am sorry but due to the smaller width and mounting style there are not any aftermarket pin boxes for your VHD 16K22SW. That's the only style of pin box that fits your 5th wheel trailer. The VHD 22SW series came in multiple capacities, yours being 16,000 lbs, but they weren't designed to be replaced.
