Recommended Replacement for Shurflo 4008-101-E65 RV Water Pump

Question:

I currently have a Shurflo rvwater pump 4008-101-E65. Having a problem with it that the water comes back out of the city fill valve when trying to use the pump in dry dock mode. I have a Heartland 3270RS Bighorn Fifth wheel with a new version of the Anderson Kantleak Brass valve connection. Could the pump be bad or chambers stuck. Looking to up grade to Lippert LC689052. Not sure electrical is enough. Regards

It does indeed should like a defective Shurflo 4008-101-E65 RV Water Pump and to replace this, the Flow Max RV Fresh Water Pump part # LC689052 would be an excellent option. They both have a 3 gallon per minute rating and operate on 12 volt power. The wiring will be the same, one goes to power and the other to ground. The main difference is the size so as long as you have space for the new pump (8" long x 5-1/4" wide x 5" tall) there will be no issues.
