Question:

I have a 2021 Ford F-250 super duty. Your website says if the truck GVWR is over 10,000 lbds, then the swing out rack is not compatible. My trucks GVWR is 10,000. Will this rack be compatible? Does the swing type rack come in a single bike model?

The RockyMounts BackStage Bike Rack for 2 Bikes item # RKY10002 isn't strong enough to be used behind larger trucks like your F-250. This is the same reason only certain bike racks can be used behind 5th wheel and travel trailer's. The rack manufacturer's do not build them to withstand the extra vibration and bouncing that occurs behind larger vehicles like your F-250.

Instead I recommend using the Saris Swing Away Hitch Extender for Bike Racks item # SAR36VR. The Saris will provide you with the same 90-degree swing away function to your passenger side. It has a 250 lbs capacity but it reduces your hitches tongue weight capacity by 50% but that won't affect your ability to carry any weight bike you want.

Since you are looking for a single bike carrier, you will want the Thule T1 Bike Rack for 1 Bike item # TH9041. Like the RockyMounts this is a wheel mounted bike rack that fits tires up to 5" wide. It has a 60 lbs capacity and a integrated cable lock that secures your bike to the rack. This bike rack is compatible with hitch adapters like the Saris item # SAR36VR.
