Can this be take apart so I don’t have to remove my wife’s scooter lift from the car

Yes, if you wanted to remove the Curt Anti-Rattle Hitch Clamp for 2" Hitches # C27UR without having to remove the entire hitch accessory you can do so by just unthreading the bolt on the one side and the handle on the other and the u-bolt will slide off.
