How Many and What Size Batterie Do You Need For a 2,000 Watt Inverter

Question:
I have a 1000 watt smoke machine that Im putting on a truck. I was going to get a 2000 watt inverter. I know I need another battery. But does it have to be a full size car battery. Can it be motorcycle or jet ski. A full size battery.mean extra wiring. What the smallest battery I can get away with.

When using a 2,000 watt inverter like the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter # 34278156 you are correct that you would want to use 2 batteries. You would want that additional battery to be a full size battery for correct performance. Not a smaller battery like a motorcycle or jet ski battery.
Also, since you mentioned already having one battery. You will want to get a second battery that has the same amp hour rating a battery chemistry. If you use a battery with a different amp hour rating, it will reduce the capacity of your battery bank.
