Is There Incremental Drop Difference With Platform Orientation of Gen-Y Phantom X Ball Mount
Published 10/21/2022 >
Question:
Trailer-Hitch-Ball-Mount/Gen-Y-Hitch/GY27VR Your video for this ball mount says you can adjust the by dropping the ball mount into one of the stacked receivers either right side up or upside down. It would help me to know with the ball mount itself in the 4th hole, what is the with the ball mounted right side up and also upside down? Same question if the ball is mounted in the 3rd hole either right side up or upside down. Thanks for the help!

Expert Reply:
The ball mount platform of the Gen-Y Phantom X part # GY59VR that you referenced whether in the rise or drop position will put the height right at the top or bottom of the hitch openings. So what that means is that if you picked the third opening from the top but had the platform in the rise position it essentially would be the same height as the drop position of the second opening. So in the drop position in the 4th slot it would be an 8 inch drop, and in the rise position of the same slot it would be 6 inch drop.
