I Will this fit a 7/8 ladder? know some brands come with rubber shims or wraps to allow fitment to the smaller diameter. Thanks

Yes, the Stromberg Carlson Lawn Chair Rack for RVs - 4 Chair # LA-104 will work with 7/8" diameter ladders!
This rack can accommodate up to a 1" thick ladders, and has rubberized brackets so it won't scratch the ladder.
Additionally, this rack has a maximum weight capacity of 50-lbs, can carry 2-4 chairs, and measures 24" long x 12" wide.
