2.5 inch Hitch to 2 inch Hitch Adapter that Has Anti-Rattle Device Built In

Updated 07/30/2025 | Published 07/24/2025

Question:

Have f250 factory installed hitch, pulling an Ember 26RB, 7500 lbs. Need a 2.5 inch to 2 inch reducer. Suggestions: Also need some type of anti rattle device. Suggestions: At present have a reducer and when trailer is hooked up the pin is a leverage point. Whole setup rocks on the pin, which is becoming deformed and grooves are wearing in pin.

Hey Al, we have the Weigh Safe # WS79ZR which will take your 2.5 inch hitch down to a 2 inch hitch and comes with an anti-rattle system built into it so it would be by far your best option. How bad do you feel the movement back there when towing?

Thanks for the reply. The weight of the trailer takes away a lot of the rattle. My concern is the pin deforming, leading to pin failure.

@AlM I see what you mean and I get that concern. The part # WS79ZR that I mentioned though will lock everything in place so that grooves from movement won't develop.
