Replacement Strap for Shelby 5470A Boat Trailer Winch

Question:
I am looking to replace the wire on the Shelby 5470A winch that is currently on my boat trailer. I would like to replace it with a strap instead of the wire. Could you recommend a strap appropriate to the winch.

Based on my research, it does look like the Shelby 5470A can use a strap, not all winches can. The # DL24251 you were looking at would work well as a replacement strap. This is designed for hand winches with a capacity up to 3,200 lbs. It is 2" wide x 20' long and includes the mounting hardware.
