Question:

Will the Blue Ox base plate part number BX1128 and tow bar BX7365 fit a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Latitude?

For your 2014 Cherokee Latitude, you'd want to use the Blue Ox # BX1138 base plate kit in conjunction with the Blue Ox Alpha # BX7380 tow bar you referenced. The BX1128 and the 1427-3 are a fit for the Grand Cherokee only, and wouldn't work for your vehicle.

You'll also need a taillight wiring and a supplemental braking system. The simplest wiring solution is the Roadmaster Magnetic Tow Lamps, part # RM-2120. A magnetic tow lamp system will remain completely independent of the wiring of the towed vehicle, and would not require any cutting or splicing to install. A permanently wired option like the Roadmaster diode kit, # RM-154, is also available.

For a braking system, I'd recommend the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR. The Patriot is extremely easy to install, simply place it on the floorboards in front of the driver's seat, attach the claw to the brake pedal, and plug the unit in to the 12-volt plug/cigarette lighter socket.
