Replacement Bushings For A CRE3000

Question:

If they never failed bushings were so great why were they discontinued? They are still available on eBay, but if they were discontinued, are they worth purchasing? I have the bronze bushings that came with my CRE 3000, I see at least one of them is cracked already after about 400 miles of use

The Never Fail Bushings were discontinued because they didn't sell as good as they thought they were, they were also having problems with the product. The bronze bushings wear out and start to crack from friction, age, heat, and from exposure from road salt and lubricants, it can also crack from the stress of frequent movement and weight loads. These bushings required wet bolts that will need to be greased to help prevent the cracking.

To replace you bushing The Bronze Bushings # K71-291-00 is the correct replacement bushing kit for your CRE3000. These bushings have a 9/16 inch inner diameter and an 11/16 inch outer diameter and are 1-3/4 inches long.
