Question:
Looking for a good proportional brake controller for my 2013 Silverado 1500

The best option for a proportional brake controller for your 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 is from Redarc, and the brake controller and wiring adapter you need are the following part numbers:
- Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Trailer Brake Controller # RED24FR
- Universal Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers # RED69FR
I really like the Liberty because of its control knob which not only keeps a cumbersome unit out of your cab, but also because it gives you more control over your trailer braking power than any other brake controller.
The only thing to keep in mind is that if your '13 Silverado does not have the tow package, You will also need part # PK11898 to complete your wiring. This will connect to a bundle of wires, but if your truck has a round plug with a cap instead of a bundle of wires above the spare tire, use part # 30955 instead.
