Question:
After having looked at the installation instructions I have a question. It appears that you need to remove the coil. I have seen other videos where the bladder is just ed into the springs while they are still intact. Seems easier. Are these not that type?

Installation of the Airlift 1000 Rear Helper Spring System # AL60754 does require removal of the rear coil springs. You are also correct that some other rear axle air bag kits do not require this step, and can be slipped inside the coil springs while they remain in place.
The kit you referenced fits Jeep Grand Cherokee model years 1999 through 2004.
We do offer suspension enhancement kits for the 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee and these can be seen on the link provided. You can use the filters at the left side of the page to select 2- or 4-wheel drive kits and to choose between jounce-style and air bag springs. The Airlift system for the 2008 Grand Cherokee, part # AL60811, also requires removal of the rear coil spring for air bag installation.
We do offer a kit from Firestone, part # F4157, which does not require removal of the coil springs.
