What is the Difference Between Trunnion and Round Bar Weight Distribution Systems

can you please explain the benefits of trunnion vs round

Helpful Expert Reply:

The round or trunnion bars refers to the end of the spring bars. Round bars are typically designed for lighter applications, are a bit harder to install and are usually priced lower than trunnion bars. Trunnion bars are typically designed to be used with heavier weight applications, and easier to install than round bars.

Trunnion bars typically offer more ground clearance as well.

I attached an FAQ article on weight distribution for you to check out.

I currently have a Fastway E2 set up, can I purchase just the hitch mount, bar mount and bars separately. And what would those items cost.

You can definitely purchase individual components from the Fastway E2 System. For this 8,000 pound setup we have the Spring Bar # FA92-02-0899, Shank # FA92-02-4100, and Head # FA92-02-1255 all available separately. Pricing will be located on the product pages but you really might be better off just going with a whole new system, as it's going to end up right at, if not over, the full price.
