The tongue weight capacity for this adapter is 1000 lbs, if the tongue weight capacity of the receiver is only 350 lbs - whats the safe TW in this scenario

Great question!
You always need to stick with the lowest rated component so even though the Blue Ox Adjustable Drop Hitch Receiver Adapter # BLU34TR has a 1,000 lb weight capacity you'll be limited by the 350 lbs of your hitch receiver tongue weight rating.
