Recommended Weight Distribution Hitch For A 2018 Jayco Jay Feather 19UHD Travel Trailer
Published 09/17/2022 >
Question:
I have a 2018 jayco Jay feather 19uhd. Tongue weight is 310, GVW is 4100 pounds. Im looking for a weight distribution hitch and away control and want to be able to back it up. Not much room on the trailer frame with electric jack and two LP tanks also jack it bicycle carrier. What do you suggest for hitches? Thanks

Out of all the weight distribution hitches we offer I personally prefer the Blue Ox SwayPro because it's the easiest to install and use. With your tongue weight being less than 10% of your GVWR you could definitely benefit from loading more in the front of the trailer to increase the tongue weight.
Once you have that tongue weight up a little more I recommend going with the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # BXW0556. I've attached a picture below with the dimensions of the brackets so you can compare to your setup. If these will not fit then let me know and send me some pics/measurements of the space you do have and I can find something that will fit.
I've also attached a short video below where I'll walk you through the installation of the SwayPro so that you can get a better idea of how it fits.
