How do you connect the 2 pin heating element to a cord?

It looks like you are using the Hott Rod RV Water Heater Conversion Kit # DGR6VP on your 6 gallon RV water heater. Since your connector is damaged you are going to need to replace the entire kit as they do not offer the connector for the heating element separately. It does not look like any Dielectric Grease # 11755 was used on the connection for the heating element. It is very important to use this as the connector being on the outside of the water heater is subject to humidity and the corrosion that built up on the element is likely what lead to the connection overheating and damaging the rubber portion of the connector.
