Does The Hott Rod RV Water Heater Conversion Kit Heating Element Need Removed For Draining?

Question:
I think this will go where my drain plug is located. After installing it, how do I drain the tank? It will take too many rotations for twisting stress of the cable. Do you install a valve and it between the tank and HottRod? I dont think there is room for that. Thanks

The cable for the Hott Rod RV Water Heater Conversion Kit # DGR6VP is removable from the Heating Element # DGR6P2PB. You will simply pull the end of the cable off the heating element when you need to remove it for draining your water heater.
