Weight Distribution Recommendation for Trailer with 930 lb Tongue Weight 2020 Ram 2500

Question:
I am looking for the right hitch for a new travel trailer I am buying. Hitch weight is 930lbs and the GVWR is 9995lbs. I will be pulling with a 2020 Ram 2500 with a 19k lb tow rating. is a weight distribution hitch needed or just one with sway control?

Any time the trailer weighs more than half of the weight of the tow vehicle we strongly recommend a weight distribution system. You'll see improvements in handling, braking, and sway reduction even with a heavier duty truck like what you have.
I would recommend the Reese Strait Line part # RP66084 which has a tongue weight range of 600-1,200 lbs and features best sway control at fighting sway before it starts.
