Question:

Hello. I have a Cougar 22mlswe. The wheelbase is 33.5” but the current solid spring connector has 5.5” side bolt spacing and 2.5” from the top mounting bolt to the centerline of the shackle bolts. Oh, and the shackles are 2.25” center to center. Will this Morryde Equalizer work? Would I need longer shackles to compensate for the slightly larger spacing? I’m going to install a wet bolt kit as well. Another option, I think, is to use the Lippert Equaflex which looks to have closer dimensions as current? Thanks for your help.

The Lippert Equa Flex kit part # LC279687 is going to be your best choice for a cushioned equalizer upgrade for your Cougar 22MLSWE. It is the exact same dimensions as what you have now so it will fit perfectly as a replacement and will do an excellent job making the ride quality of your RV much smoother. The feedback we've gotten from our customers who have tried it has been overwhelming positive as well.

Then for a wet bolt kit that was designed for this kit we have the part # LC64FR which comes with 3-1/8 inch long shackles as well. If you wanted just the bolts though you'd need the part number # LC126197 for the 3-3/8 inch long bolt and part # LC126238 for the 2-5/16 inch long bolt. You'd need a quantity of 6 of both.
