Question:

Would you be able to measure the distance from the front of the receiver to the pin hole, and provide me with the distance?

I spoke with my contact at Curt and I have that measurement for you. From the face of the receiver to the center of the hitch pin hole it is 2-1/2 inches which is a common distance for hitches. I have included a link to a video showing a typical installation of Curt trailer hitch # 13084 on a 2000 Jeep Cherokee.

If you are planning on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. For trailer wiring you can use T-connector # 118354. I have included a link to a video showing installation of the wiring as well.
