Question:

I have an older Malone Ecolight trailer with 58” crossbars. They are not galvanized and more like 1.25”x1.0”. Will the 7 foot bunk kit work on this crossbar?

The Bunk Kit for Malone Trailers # MPG561 is designed to fit the 1-1/4" Crossbars # MPG4001 currently used on Malone trailers. You can still use them with your crossbars but will need to account for the difference in size with some flat steel/aluminum to prevent the mounts from slipping around. I recommend getting the updated crossbars and mounting them using the Malone MicroSport to LowBed Trailer Conversion Support Tubes # MAL33TR as this will lower the mounts on the trailer making it easier if you plan to launch your boat from your trailer.
