Question:
2007 Dodge Ram 3500 mega cab In the installation instructions, there is no receiver welded to the bumper beam like there is on my truck.. Am I supposed to cut the 2” receiver off of the bumper beam? There is no way both 2” and 2.5” receivers will both fit??

Expert Reply:
We have a 2-1/2" hitch receiver that fits your 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 with a factory 2" hitch, but the # C15704 you mentioned is not a fit. So don't cut the 2" receiver off, you'll need a different one that fits right under the OEM hitch:
- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15809
The # C15809 is very similar to the other Curt hitch, but the brackets are longer allowing it to fit under your OEM hitch. It is a Class V and has a 2-1/2" receiver with a 20,000 lb towing and 2,700 lb tongue weight capacity so it can handle anything your Ram 3500 needs to tow.
